One of our readers Bo has let us know about Cheers Skateboards, the first German all-girls-skate-company and it’s run by ripper Sabrina “Puse” Göggel. Products (boards and shirts) will be available in shops soon. Congratulations to everyone involved. We look forward to riding some Cheers soon. Their philosophy is:
“The heart of skateboarding has always been to bring people together. From different cultures, backgrounds, ages and sexes. It shows us all our strengths and gives us stamina, tolerance, enthusiasm and optimism. Skateboarding is always with us in a positive way and helps us to get through the through the ‘downs’ of our lives and enjoy the ‘ups’. Skateboarding advances us, especially in getting over superficial community and get free from the preconception and necessity.
It’s an important part in our lives, which let us be stronger and grow inwardly, which supports our personality to grow more individual and to feel free instead of limited. In these times where skateboarding is accepted and becoming bigger, where kids start to get pro, while we’re waiting on the starting blocks with our movement. Excited by the small achievements and motivated to reach for bigger things. Far away from “Big Business” and “Sponsoring-must”, the soul of skateboarding here is still where it belongs to. On the streets instead of in the wallets of a few business men.
Cheers Skateboards has been brought to life, so the “little sisters” of skateboarding can grow, get stronger in any style and this side of skateboarding with history and level set into a new view angle. In this spirit, Cheers to Skateboarding”
