This is an interview from the Statesman Examiner newspaper (North East Washington) of 11 year old Madi Thomas, who is rapidly climbing the ranks of the womens skate scene. Lovely interview from this young girl as she talks about her love for the sport, some of the challenges and what’s ahead. Full story here and excert below.
It’s unusual to find someone so young so motivated. But Madi loves what she does and knows that it’s all about repetitions. You’ve got to put in the time. “In the summer, she is pretty much here all day long,” says her mom, Michelle. “She loves skating with her friends and getting better… she never seems to get bored with it.”
