Good news for Rachel Bracken, Lauren Reynolds and Caroline Buchanan who have received custom painted Podium frames from Intense BMX. Basically last month, Intense BMX, Sinz and THE signed off on a deal to be the official suppliers to Australia’s top BMX riders, and since these three girls are part of the Cycling Australian Elite High Performance BMX team, they get their hands on a frame featuring an Aussie-inspired graphics scheme in the official colors of the Cycling Australia.
FAT BMX reports that the metallic Aussie green frames feature graphics inspired by Aboriginal paintings, but given a modern twist. Each frame also has the rider’s name – and the THE and SINZ Elite logos. Rachel and Lauren have a stock Intense Podium Pro XL+ frames and the smaller Caroline rides a stock Podium Pro. Late last year, Caroline received a Podium Stinger to ride until her new bike was ready. She was pleased.
“I rode the new bike at the local BMX track in Alabama and did some sprints on it. It feels awesome. I noticed that it’s super stiff, more responsive than my Ti frame and acceleration was noticeably better. I am excited to race it,” Buchanan said.
The others raced on Podium frames last year, making numerous UCI Supercross mains and one podium appearance.
The Elite HP riders will compete in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa and the United States with a focus on the UCI Supercross World Cup Series and World Championships in 2011. They should have their new bikes later this month.
