Southsea Longboarding

We love to hear about girls who are growing the scene in their areas – and Shakiba Moghadam is just that kind of person. Coming from Southsea (UK) she started taking a keen interest in longboarding last year and wanted to start a society at her University (Portsmouth) in her second year of studying. However, after discussing the idea with the committee at the start of the year, she was told that she had to pay a fee to start the society and that the members would all have to pay a fee as well – since everyone would have been fellow students she realised it wasn’t going to work this way – so she started promoting the idea outside of Uni and had a surprisingly good response from people who were also keen on starting something up. During the summer she made an edit of the spots around Southsea which are ideal for Longboarding, just to help promote Longboarding and Southsea as a location itself. And here we are today… good luck Shakiba, we’ll be in touch.
